On the morning of April 21, 2021, Hua HU, Vice President of Hangzhou Normal University, and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Yusheng ZHAO, Acting Vice President of SUSTech, Director of the Office of Research, and Dean of the SUSTech Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies held discussions with the guests.

At the meeting, Yusheng ZHAO gave a brief introduction on SUSTech and spoke about topics such as the development of the University’s scientific research platforms, its scientific and technological achievements, and recruitment of faculty personnel.

Hua HU spoke about the current state of affairs at Hangzhou Normal University and spoke highly of SUSTech’s achievements under the reform and development of China’s higher education system. Both parties acknowledged the benefits of working together and hope they can strengthen their relationship going forward.

The two parties held in-depth discussions on the key strategies and initiatives under the guidance of the “14th Five-Year Plan” for future development and how to make greater scientific and technological achievements. They also spoke in detail on laboratory management, large-scale equipment management, management systems and mechanisms, digital governance, and other topics.

Before the meeting, Hua HU and his delegation also visited the exhibition of development and achievements.
