In the morning of August 23, in the summer holiday, the campus of SUSTC received 75 teachers and students from Heta County of Kashi City of Xinjiang to visit the University. According to arrangement by the University, the Student Department, library, college and other leaders, teachers, and student volunteers received the visitors, including campus visiting, in-field interpretation, student communication and joint photo etc.

In the morning, at 10: 00, teachers and student volunteers of the University welcomed arrival of guests from Xinjiang at the gate, and led them to visit the administration building, library, teaching building and other architectures and facilities.

In the library, the Director Yan introduced facilities and functions of each floor of the library. In the teaching building, schoolmate Luo Deng of Grade 2012 and Li Liang of Grade 2014 introduced development course, schooling culture and schooling features of the University, studying, scientific research, society activity and other colorful life, and exchanged with little friends from Xinjiang. After taking joint photo before the library, students and teachers of the University were reluctant to part with Xinjiang guests, and the activities were ended.

This activity was a part of Shenzhen-Kashi “1+1” communication program held by the frontier commanding department for Shenzhen’s support Xinjiang, the municipal education bureau and the municipal Youth Leaguge Committee. With unique studying environment and culture atmosphere, SUSTC described a nice “college dream” for each visiting schoolmates from Xinjiang, smartness, innocence and plainness of schoolmates from Xinjiang also brought a “pure dream” to SUSTC students. I believe that, the youth between Shenzhen and Kashi will enhance communication and friendship, and build the “Chinese dream”.
