SUSTech student successful in 2021 Cross-Border Innovation World Championships

Recently, Fuhao CHEN, a postdoctoral fellow from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), placed second in the 2021 Cross-Border Innovation World Championships (Beijing, China), known as the Falling Walls Lab Beijing 2021.

During the competition, Fuhao CHEN displayed his naked-eye 3D research project. With the theme of “Breaking the dimensional wall”, he demonstrated how to construct 3D images on the display of mobile devices.

The Falling Walls Foundation introduced the 2021 Cross-Border Innovation World Championships (Beijing, China), known as the Falling Walls Lab Beijing 2021.

It is hosted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Institute of Physics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the German Embassy in China, and supported by Helmholtz Association.

It is also part of the Falling Walls Conference, the world’s top scientific and technological innovation forum. The one-day scientific conference showcases the research work of international scientists from a wide range of fields. The BBC hails it as “the greatest minds on the planet”.
