Recently, as part of the 2021 National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week, the finals of the first Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition were held on October 24 at the SUSTech Convention Center.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition was organized by SUSTech and the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission. The event was sponsored by organizations such as the Shenzhen SUSTech Asset Management Co., Ltd, Shenzhen High-Tech Investment Group Co., Ltd, Shenzhen Angel FOF Management Co., Ltd (Shenzhen Angel FOF), Bank of China (Shenzhen Branch), and Shenzhen Yuexiang Capital Management Co., Ltd.
The competition was divided into the preliminary and final rounds. It consisted of four parts: new-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, materials and energy, and biomedicine technology.
From the preliminary round, 15 out of 133 projects were selected to advance to the finals. After some high-quality competition, two 1st prizes, four 2nd prizes, and six 3rd prizes were selected in the finals.
The competition aims to bring together innovative entrepreneurs from within China and abroad to start their businesses in Shenzhen. It intends to build a high-level platform for exchanging ideas and achievements and promoting cooperation between entrepreneurs and investment institutions.
