SUSTech’s Chuang-Chuang LI wins Wuxi AppTec Life Science and Chemistry Award

On December 18, 2021, the 15th Wuxi AppTec Life Science and Chemistry Awards Ceremony was held online.

Professor Chuang-Chuang LI from the Department of Chemistry at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) received the award at the event for his outstanding contributions in the field of total synthesis of natural products.

The Wuxi AppTec Life Science and Chemistry Awards was established in 2007 to reward outstanding students and young scientific and technological talents who are engaged in research in chemistry, life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, and related scientific and technological fields, and who have made outstanding achievements in scientific research innovation, and the development of industrial applications and high-tech industrialization.

In the last 15 years since its inception, a total of 265 outstanding scientists have won awards, with 27 have been selected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). Their breakthroughs are promoting technological innovation and scientific advances in the field of life science and chemistry.
