On May 26, 2022, Guimin ZHANG, Chairman of Lunan Pharmaceutical Group, and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) as Qikun XUE, President of SUSTech, welcomed the guests for exchanges.

Other members of the University’s leadership team that attended the event included Susheng WANG, Director of the Office of Planning & Development, Pengfei WANG, Director of the Preparatory Office of Affiliated Hospitals, and Mingzhao XING, Dean of the School of Medicine, as well as the heads of relevant departments.

In his remarks, President Qikun XUE spoke about the achievements of SUSTech in recent years. He noted that the University has formulated a set of approaches of “Three Major Development Strategies” and “Five Major Action Plans” to achieve its “three-step” medium- and long-term strategic goals.

The University will continue to bolster its university-enterprise integration and innovation development strategy, and strengthen cooperation with Lunan Pharmaceutical Group in discipline construction, scientific research and development, and make greater contributions toward achieving the “Healthy China’ initiative.

Guimin ZHANG gave a brief introduction about Lunan Pharmaceutical Group and its development in recent times.

He said that Lunan Pharmaceutical would strengthen collaboration with SUSTech in technology transfer, education, and research. He hopes to further enhance the technological innovation capabilities of the organization with the help of SUSTech’s scientific research expertise in life sciences, and promote the high-quality development of medical services.

During their visit, Guimin ZHANG and his delegation were also given a guided tour of the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center and the Laboratory Animal Research Center.
