On June 8, the School of Medicine at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd (Mindray) held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between both parties at Mindray’s headquarters building.

Mingzhao XING, Member of the Presidential Executive Council and Dean of the School of Medicine, Xinsheng LI, Vice President of Mindray, and Huawen YAN, General Manager of Mindray’s In Vitro Diagnosis Division, attended the signing ceremony.

Representatives from relevant departments at SUSTech, including the School of Medicine, the Technology Transfer Center, and the Office of Major Projects also participated in the event.

Xinsheng LI said that as an innovation-oriented enterprise, Mindray has always attached great importance to collaborations with universities, and hopes that this signing agreement will lay a good foundation for the long-term cooperation between both parties in the future.

In his remarks, Mingzhao XING said that the two sides would take the signing of this cooperation agreement as an opportunity to take advantage of each other’s expertise in various fields. Both parties will work together to create a new model of university-enterprise cooperation to further strengthen the biomedical industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA)

After the signing ceremony, members from both sides also held discussions and exchanges on the research direction and potential cooperation in their respective fields.
