Between July 23 and 24, a series of academic seminars to promote the development of new medical CT equipment were organized by the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), the National Center for Applied Mathematics Shenzhen (NCAMS) and the Preparatory Office of Affiliated Hospital.
The seminars, held in the form of in-person and virtually, were attended by experts and scholars from various institutions, including the Beijing Friendship Hospital Affiliated to the Capital Medical University, Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Henan Provincial People Hospital, Capital Medical University, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University (QHSU), Capital Medical University, Longgang Central Hospital of Shenzhen, Shenzhen University General Hospital, Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, and the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech (Shenzhen People’s Hospital).
The R&D team of the CT Imaging Engineering Laboratory at NCAMS introduced the index parameters, research progress, application scenarios, and development plans of the Mobile Cone Beam CT of Head and Multifunctional Photon-counting Cone Beam CT of Bone.
Experts, scholars, and the R&D team conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges around the clinical application of the two CT apparatuses.
All parties agreed to further cooperate in new product development and scientific research. They hope that through cooperation, scientific research undertakings will be closely integrated with clinical needs and help improve the efficiency of diagnosis.
The CT Imaging Engineering Laboratory at NCAMS will use its CT imaging technology to meet clinical needs in developing a series of specialized, miniaturized, and intelligent new medical CT equipment, and realize the independent R&D and manufacturing of advanced CT equipment, so as to better serve the national strategy and economic development.
