Recently, according to information from the Humanistic and Social Sciences Information Network of Chinese Universities, the project of “Social Linguistic Research of Utterance and Gender Identity in Transitional Society—Taking Single-Parent Families in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone as Examples” proposed by Xu Siqun, a teacher from the Department of Public Elementary Courses of SUSTC, obtained the approval and publicity of Youth Fund Program of Humanities & Social Sciences Research from the Ministry of Education in 2015. Our university has realized the breakthrough of zero in humanities & social sciences fund programs.
In the general projects of humanities & social sciences research of the Ministry of Education of 2015, 19,547 items of planning fund, youth fund and self-financing projects have been proposed in total, in which 2,817 items have been approved by experts through strict review. The passing rate is 14.4%.
