On November 16, 2022, Forbes released its 30 Under 30 China List 2022.

Xiaoyang LI, a 2020 undergraduate alumnus of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), was selected on the Forbes list as a rising star of social enterprise and education.

This marks the third time that alumni from SUSTech have been included on the list after Zhi ZHANG, who was selected in 2020, and Jiale WANG, chosen in 2021.

Xiaoyang LI is currently a postdoctoral fellow at SUSTech. His research interests include swarm intelligence, edge learning, over-the-air computation, and integrated sensing, communication and computation.

He has published more than 20 papers in renowned journals domestically and internationally, and has obtained six patents.

Dr. LI currently presides over the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Program, Shenzhen Natural Science Foundation General Program, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Program, and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology Horizontal Cooperation Program.

He was also a recipient of the Shenzhen Overseas High-Level Talent Program and the Guangdong Overseas Young Talents Program.
