On May 29, 2015, Liang Jiansheng, the Director of the Teaching Affairs Sector of the University awarded the 1st lot of four students’ internship and practice bases on behalf of the South University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTC). The four enterprises are: Shenzhen BTR New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Senior Material Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Greatland Electrics Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Ruihuatai Membrane Science and Technology Co., Ltd. They are outstanding enterprises in the new energy and new material industry, are recommended by Shenzhen Association of New Materials, surveyed by the practice responsibility team of the Department of Material Science and Engineering of the University, selected from the perspective of corporate strength, industrial correlation, industrial ranking, education support and humanity care, and are competitive. Professor Yanqing Tian and associate professor of Zhubing He of the Department of Material Science and Engineering of SUSTC attended the entitlement awarding ceremony.
Internship and practice are an important opportunity for college students to contact society, know industry and exercise capabilities, and is an important measure of the Ministry of Education to train college students their comprehensive qualities. The construction of the teaching and internship base is directly related to quality of internship teaching, and plays a key role in practice, innovation and entrepreneurship for high-quality talents. The SUSTC implemented the rules and guide principles on undergraduates’ internship and practice education, is actively preparing for and carrying out internship and practice base construction for undergraduate, and the Teaching Affairs Sector has established series management system of internship and provided opportunity for smooth internship of students. Students of Grade 2012 of the Department of Material Science and Engineering of SUSTC will experience fusion of knowledge and technology, fusion of innovation and production and fusion of technology and products in this summer vacation.
After the entitlement award ceremony, both parties conducted an in-depth communication. Both parties agreed that, taking construction of the students’ internship base as opportunity, the SUSTC explored an overall cooperation space with enterprises in terms of talent training, communication and training, industry-university-research cooperation and even jointly building innovation platforms.
