An ultrasonic bone scalpel is a medical device that uses the principle of high-intensity focused ultrasound to cut soft and hard bone tissues.

The Bone Shakalaka team used high-intensity focused ultrasound technology to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy through a transducer, and developed a set of ultrasonic bone knife devices with high cutting efficiency and low heat generation.

The team also won the gold medal in the 13th Challenge Cup Guangdong University Student Entrepreneurship Competition and the first prize in the SUSTech 13th Challenge Cup Guangdong University Student Entrepreneurship Competition.

SUSTech attaches great importance to the cultivation of students’ innovative abilities in the classroom, creating a pathway for innovative achievements in major competitions both inside and outside the University, and striving to nurture more top-notch talents.
