The Southern University of Science and Technology continues to deepen its cooperation with universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and promotes the high-quality development of education at the University.
On May 29, Li JIN, Vice President of SUSTech, led a delegation to visit the University of Macau (UM), and held in-depth discussions on deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, promoting scientific and technological innovation and talent training.
During the visit, Li JIN participated in the signing ceremony of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Energy Science and Technology Alliance.
In his remarks, he stated that the establishment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Energy Science and Technology Alliance is not only about implementing a strategy of strengthening the country through science and education, talents, and innovation-driven development, but also our mission to jointly address energy and climate challenges and promote sustainable development.
He hopes to work with universities to build a world-class energy innovation center, cultivate internationally competitive talents, contribute to the resolution of the major energy sector, and support the country’s action plan on carbon dioxide peaking and carbon neutrality.
Other guests attending the signing ceremony included Shuzheng SHI, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao SAR, and Jianwu HUANG, Acting Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao SAR.
During their visit, Li JIN and his delegation also visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, and the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences.
