On June 11, almost 20,000 applicants across 23 provinces, autonomous regions, and cities around the country took part in the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) 2023 undergraduate admissions test simultaneously.

For 12 consecutive years, SUSTech has adopted a comprehensive evaluation and admission model based on students’ college entrance examination scores and high school performance in its selection of outstanding students.

In 2023, SUSTech plans to enroll around 1,300 students from 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and cities across the country. In Shanghai, applicants will take part in an admission interview. The remaining 23 provinces and regions are tested through computer tests and interviews.

This year, more than 58,000 applicants registered online nationwide, with almost 20,000 participating in the test, a new record high for SUSTech.
