From June 16 to 18, the 2023 International Conference on Control Science and Systems Engineering (ICCSSE 2023) was held in Shenzhen.

Guangren DUAN, Chair Professor and Dean of the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing (SDIM) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), presided over the conference as the Advisory Committee Chair.

Prof. Guangren DUAN delivered an opening speech at the conference. In his remarks, he introduced the development history, latest progress, and future development goals of the automation discipline at SUSTech.

He hopes that through this high-level conference, academic discussions and research exchanges in related fields will be strengthened, original innovative research on basic theories and core technologies further explored, and greater contributions will be made to the scientific and technological progress in the automation field in China.

The ICCSSE 2023 was organized by SUSTech, sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and supported by the China Agricultural University, Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT), and Concordia University of Canada.
