On October 14, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held a welcome concert for its new undergraduate students at Runyang Stadium.

New students, their family members, faculty members, and staff gathered together to enjoy an evening filled with a feast of different acts and performances.

The concert was divided into four parts, covering instrumental music, singing, dancing, recitals, and other acts.

The variety of performances displayed at the event showcased the diverse and talented skills of the freshmen at the University.

Youmin ZHOU, Associate Professor of the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering, and students wowed the audience with a brass instrument performance of the animation song “The Cruel Angel’s Action Plan”.

Faculty members and students of the Zhicheng Singing Club sang the song “Let Me Stay By Your Side” to demonstrate the power of companionship, while students from the Shude Recital Club performed an adapted version of “My South and My North”.

The event was a huge success, with everyone in attendance praising the performances of the new students.
