A delegation from Yulin University, led by Xinzhu ZHANG, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Wei KANG, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, recently visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Hong JIANG, University Council Chairperson, and Jinfeng JIA, Acting Vice President, held discussions with the guests.

Acknowledging SUSTech’s rapid progress since its establishment, Xinzhu ZHANG provided an overview of Yulin University’s history and current state of affairs. He emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration and exchanges in areas such as university-local cooperation and scientific research projects.

Mr. ZHANG also expressed that they would learn from SUSTech’s experience in establishing a high-level innovative university, hoping to inject more vitality into Yulin University and contribute to regional economic development.

In her remarks, Chairperson Hong JIANG highlighted SUSTech’s advancements in its innovative university governance, education system, and scientific research management. Recognizing Yulin University’s rich historical heritage, she looks forward to exploring cooperation in developing key disciplines, scientific research platforms, and other areas.

Both parties conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on project collaboration, management models for high-level talent teams, curriculum development, and talent training.

As part of their visit, Xinzhu ZHANG, Wei KANG, and their delegation were given a tour of the campus, including the SUSTech exhibition of development and achievements, the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center, and the Institute of Robotics.
