The 2nd Badminton League of the Shenzhen X9 Alliance of Universities & Institutes around X-Lake Sciensity (X9 Alliance) recently concluded at the Shenzhen University Town Sports Center.
After four days of competition, a group composed of faculty members and staff from the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) emerged in first place in the competition, while the student team secured an impressive second place and earned the top overall prize.
Qingchen CHEN, the Olympic gold medalist of the women’s doubles at the Paris 2024 Games, presented awards to the winners. She also shared her experience of Olympic success and participated in an exhibition match alongside SUSTech faculty members Yu SUN and Yumin ZENG.
Since its establishment in 2018, the SUSTech badminton team has consistently excelled in major provincial competitions, growing its reputation for excellence in sports.
