The finals of the 11th China Undergraduate Medical Innovation Tournament and the Belt and Road International Competition recently took place at Shandong University.
Two teams from the School of Medicine at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) achieved remarkable success, winning one gold and one bronze award, demonstrating their scientific research abilities and innovative spirit.
This year’s competition, organized by the China Undergraduate Medical Innovation Tournament Committee, brought together more than 4,000 participants from over 200 universities across ten countries, along with 200 distinguished guests and expert judges.
Representing SUSTech were undergraduates Wenze WU, Jiawen FU, Liuyi LIN, Hongqian ZHANG, Qikun GAO, and Yunjian MENG, under the guidance of Chair Professor Jinsong BIAN and Associate Professor Lian HE.
Throughout the tournament, the students applied their professional knowledge and refined their projects through rigorous iterations. Their strong academic foundations, clear logical thinking, and polished presentation skills earned them high recognition from the judges.
