May 6, 2015, organizedby the SUSTC OSA Student Chapter, Assistant Professor Luo Dan and twentyundergraduates from the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering,South University of Science and Technology of China, visited the China StarOptoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen (Hereinafter referred toas‘CSOT’). Founded with the investment of ￥24.5billion for the first phase, which isthe largest single industrial projectinvestment in Shenzhen’s history, CSOT is now the leading company in the areaof flat panel display. 

Dr. ShuiChi Lien, vicepresident of CSOT warmly welcome the Dr Luo Dan and the students from SUSTC. DrLuo and the students visited the exhibition room at R&D Buildings andproduction lines. The students experienced the advanced liquid crystaldisplaypanels developed by COST. 

The activity greatlystimulated the students’ interest in liquid crystal display technology, andhelps to nurture students with innovation and entrepreneurship.
