On the 116th International Women’s Day, on the afternoon of March 5, 2026, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) Education Foundation and the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Women Association jointly held the “Overseas Women Gather at SUSTech, Intelligently Start a New Journey” entrepreneur-themed event for Women’s Day at SUSTech. Attendees included Ailing KONG, Vice President of the Shenzhen Social Organization General Association, and Party Branch Secretary and Founding President of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Women Association, as well as Hong JIANG, Party Secretary of our university and Chairperson of the Education Foundation.


Hong JIANG stated as a diverse institution responsible for talent cultivation, scientific research, achievement transformation, and cultural heritage, the development of the school cannot be separated from the strong support of the city of Shenzhen and all sectors of society. We are currently in the era of artificial intelligence, where opportunities and challenges coexist. This exchange event stands as an opportunity to further strengthen the connection between SUSTech and the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Women Association, and to work together to contribute to the rejuvenation of the country through science and education.

Ailing KONG highly praised the rapid and high-quality development of SUSTech and introduced relevant information about the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Women’s Association. She stated that this visit to SUSTech is an important initiative by the association to deepen school-enterprise exchanges. She hopes to take this event as an opportunity to strengthen connections with SUSTech, share resources, and jointly plan development, demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of overseas Chinese women in the new era through practical work and achievements.

Professor Lili YANG, Dean of Shude College at SUSTech, gave a keynote report titled “Artificial Intelligence Empowering Industrial Applications.”

Xiuling GUO, Chairman of Shenzhen Anduofu Disinfection High tech Co. Ltd., shared her experiences on transitioning from a journalist to engaging in scientific research, the gains she has achieved over more than thirty years at Andofu, and her future life dreams.
The Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Women’s Association is a local, united, non-profit 5A-level social organization formed voluntarily by women from various fields in Shenzhen who are enthusiastic about overseas Chinese public welfare and have a certain influence.
