On May 21, 2026, Meng TONG, Dazhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary, led a party and government delegation to the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) for research, and Hong JIANG, University Council Chairperson, among others, held a discussion and exchange with the delegation.

Hong JIANG stated that SUSTech always adheres to serving the national and local development strategies and deeply cultivates the integration of industry, academia, and research. Previously, SUSTech’s School of Medicine and Dazhou had already carried out preliminary connections and cooperation in healthcare, laying a good foundation for subsequent collaboration between both parties. She looks forward to both sides taking this exchange as an opportunity to accurately match scientific research resources with industrial needs, establish a regular and pragmatic cooperation mechanism, and promote complementary advantages and mutually beneficial win-win results between the university and the city.

Meng TONG highly praised the high-quality development of SUSTech. He stated that Dazhou is accelerating the development of key industries such as energy and chemical engineering, advanced materials, and intelligent equipment, and looks forward to the two sides further expanding cooperation areas, strengthening talent cooperation, and promoting the implementation of cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements in Dazhou to empower industrial upgrading.

Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges around county-level characteristic industries, commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and recruitment of high-caliber talents.

The delegation also visited SUSTech’s exhibition hall, showcasing SUSTech’s achievements, gaining a detailed understanding of SUSTech’s operations.
