Taizhou city government officials attend training at SUSTech campus

 On October 24, 2017, government officials from Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, arrived at SUSTech to attend training classes in the Library Hall 111.

SUSTech President Chen Shiyi gave a speech to the audience at the opening ceremony, which was chaired by University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang.

President Chen spoke on behalf of the university staff and students and welcomed the arrival of the visitors.

He said that this workshop was a great example of the exchanges and mutually beneficial relationship upheld between SUSTech and Taizhou city, and hoped for further understanding and cooperation opportunities.

Taizhou Municipal Party Committee Party Secretary and executive Vice President Zhu Jiyuan then took over to address the audience.

He said that the training at SUSTech had been carefully prepared by the professors and that the logistics had been arranged with much detail.

He went on to say that this training course would mark a positive step in the building of strong relationships between the municipality and the university, and hoped that SUSTech’s experience and knowledge will contribute greatly to his city’s progress, providing valuable experience for both parties.

Taizhou Municipal Organization Department arranged the training classes in order to improve the quality of their officials. The training workshop lasts for 6 days and is co-organized by SUSTech’s Office of Human Resources and Teaching Center, to cater to 50 government officials.

The workshop will mainly cover topics such as innovation and field studies, scientific and technological innovation, leadership, finance, cultural creativity and various others.
