The “New Generation Smart Logistics Network Service Platform R & D Team” aims to build a large-scale logistics network platform that uses artificial intelligence to process big data in light of the major demand for smart logistics technology in Shenzhen.
Its team members have made world leading scientific and technological achievements in many fields such as artificial intelligence, intelligent optimization, big data analysis, software engineering and service computing. Professor Yao Xin is a National “Thousand Talent Plan” Project Specialist and won the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society’s Evolution Computing Pioneer Award, the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award and various other international recognitions. He was selected in 2016 as Thomson Reuters’ global high-cited scholar (#127 world rank in computer science). Professor Yao’s main research areas include intelligent optimization, machine learning, big data analysis and smart logistics, e specially in the areas of constrained optimization, multi-objective optimization, dynamic optimization, integrated learning and scheduling problems.
The Shenzhen Peacock Talent Program focuses on very high technology content and new generation information technology, life sciences, robotics, new energy sources, new materials and other innovative fields. These are in a strategic development phase in Shenzhen, and the municipality aims to boost the city’s role as a innovation hub through these type of plans.
From November 14 to November 15, the first Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence forum will be held in the Lecture Hall of the Library, organized by the SUSTech Department of Computer Science and Engineering. There will be two members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Xu Zongben and Professor Chen Guoliang as well as seven senior professors to give talks on their latest research.
The “Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Computing Intelligence” focuses on new generation computing intelligence technology with low energy consumption and high reliability. It aims to provide relevant businesses with lightweight, highly reliable computational intelligence services in a wide variety of applications.
The laboratory’s R & D team includes three IEEE Fellow in the field of intelligent computing as academic leaders, and its team members cover a broad spectrum in the field including computing intelligence, software engineering, information security, service computing, nerves calculation, evolutionary computation, fuzzy system and many others. They have obtained a series of major achievements and thanks to the latest announcement from the Shenzhen Peacock Plan, should be on track to contribute even more in the near future.
