SUSTech Chair Professor Wang Xianglin from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering worked with American Chemical Society Publication Editor-in-Chief Kirk Schanze to co-host a forum on the topic of “Nano-, Meso-, and Microstructure Materials in Energy, Electronics and Biotechnology.” Dean of the College of Engineering Xu Zhenghe opened the forum with a passionate speech.
Having attracted over 300 leading scholars from over 70 universities worldwide, the forum aimed to provide a platform for researchers to share academic insights and research findings. It also sought to strengthen collaborations between SUSTech, other well-known universities and research institutes around the globe.
24 scholars presented their reports at the forum. 14 presenters were Editors-in-Chief from American Chemical Society Publications and 10 were distinguished experts in their fields. Director of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering Cheng Xin showed them around the campus and took them on a tour of the Materials Characterization and Preparation Center.
At the end of the forum, Schanze made the closing remarks and seven scholars received Best Presentation Awards.
