SUSTech held the 2017 Annual Conference on January 11, 2018. Chairperson of the University Council Guo Yurong and President Chen Shiyi chaired the conference, and the leadership and representatives of SUSTech heard reports of past and ongoing work, future goals and programs.

45 heads and directors from all schools, departments and offices at SUSTech attended the meeting and gave their report on their respective works, achievements, challenges in 2017 and outlooks on 2018.

“We are committed to ensuring that every member of our community can thrive, and we aim to create the kind of environment in which every member tries their best to contribute to becoming an international high-level research university and to achieve the 2018 SUSTech strategic development plan appropriately and effectively, ” said Chairperson Guo.

Chairperson Guo declared the presentation standard and President Chen made the conclusion to accelerate the development of SUSTech to become an international high-level research university and to achieve the goal of the 2018 SUSTech strategic development plan.

“The conference is the innovative highlight of SUSTech which promotes the development of the university” said President Chen during his ending remarks.
