On June 7th, Zhuhai Media Group visited SUSTech to interview several university leaders, and  publish in-depth reports on SUSTech for prominent media outlets in Zhuhai City, such as Zhuhai Special Zone Daily and Zhuhai Broadcasting and Television Station. As part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of China’s economic reform, this visit was led by Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Zhuhai Special Zone Daily Shang Tao.

After welcoming the delegation, University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang introduced many aspects of SUSTech, including its scientific research, curriculum arrangements, policy reform, faculty recruitment, the expansion of academic disciplines, and overall planning of becoming a “Double First-Class” University.

The delegation also visited the 3D campus construction model, Zhicheng Residential College, and the Pico Center at the Materials Preparation and Characterization Building. Reporters from the media group also interviewed some SUSTech students and faculty members on campus. Towards the end of the visit, the guests all spoke highly of SUSTech’s achievements, especially its innovative curriculum and residential college system.
