From June 11 to 13, the 2018 SUSTech independent recruitment of prospective students took place in Shanghai Datong High School and Hangzhou No.2 High School. On June 11, University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, Admissions Office Director Zhao Hongjun, and Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office Director Pan Jinghui scrutinized the examination rooms and asked about the interview details in the recruitment process.

Guo Yurong also took part in two meetings regarding the preparation of independent recruitment examination and interview. She requested the examination personnel to organize the independent recruitment carefully, to ensure the innovative nature of independent recruitment, and to prevent cheating incidents or unjust outcomes from taking place.

Guo also verified all the interview rooms, asked the examination personnel about recruitment work in Shanghai and Zhejiang, and wished all the students good luck before they headed for the interview.

Lastly, Guo Yurong talked with the principals of both Shanghai Datong High School and Hangzhou No.2 High School. Guo appreciated the efforts of the two schools in recommending top students to SUSTech and updated them on the recent developments of SUSTech. Both principals praised the outstanding achievement SUSTech has made and hoped for more collaborations in the future.
