On the afternoon of September 23, academician Tao Shu and the students sat in a circle in the Classroom 401 of No.1 Teaching Building, interacting and exchanging ideas with the students, sharing experiences and answering the current issues of environment.

The symposium lasted more than one hour, at which academician Tao Shu shared his schooling experience with the students, and introduced the main issues about today’s environment, some difficulties for China to harness environment, and some research trends about it at present. The students also actively raised questions and aired their views, from PM2.5 to Under the Sky Dome, from greenhouse effect to heap coking, and from cellphone problem to the application of smart equipment in environmental research, to which academician Tao Shu explained in humorous and easy language one by one for the students.
