Our university held the Strategic Seminar of AdmissionAffairs on the afternoon of October 15th 2015, president Chen Shiyi,vice president Qin Zheng, vice president Wu Chuanyue, Wang Yongjie, director ofOffice of Party and Government Affairs, heads of colleges and departments anddivisions, the admissions team leaders and the admissions backbone attended theseminar. Vice president Wu Chuanyue is the host of the seminar.
Director of AdmissionsOffice analyzed the basic status of admissions affairs of 2015 of ouruniversity entirely and objectively with the data and chart, and listed anumber of urgent problems and difficulties to be solved concerning the furtherdevelopment of admissions affairs, and introduced a series of admissionsactivities to implement recently on campus.
About 20professors and managers who participated in first-tier admissions struggled tomake a statement and make suggestions for admissions affairs from the aspectsof further enhancing the university strength, completing the “631” model ofcomprehensive evaluation and admission, and expanding admission access, and makingfull use of famous professors in admissions affairs.
In theconcluding remarks, Chen Shiyi pointed out that admissions affairs are a veryimportant aspect of university affairs, and they are big events andfundamental. The “631” model of comprehensive evaluation and admission dependsnot only on the college entrance examination but on multi-dimensional evaluation,which is an innovation and should be persisted and optimized. Our universityhas enhanced its inner strength by measures of introducing first-class faculties,accelerating the campus construction, handling admissions problems of graduate,forming good mechanisms and systems and promoting the graduate students forfurther education and employment. Chen Shiyi demanded that in-depth discussionshould implement over the main issues of autonomy test, team building andadmission strategy concerning admissions affairs and establish admissionstrategies in conformity with our school’s orientation to be a world-classuniversity.
Wu Chuanyue saidthat the talk of President Chen Shiyi is both the advice on admissions affairs,and the direction for the reforming and running of our university. Ouruniversity should establish scientific mechanisms and systems, and fully arousethe enthusiasm of professors, managers etc., and ensure the admissions affairsto develop continuously, effectively and with high quality.
