In the evening of September 9, the party for welcoming new comers & celebration of college second anniversary were held in the Home of Teachers and Staffs in order to welcome new students in 15th of ShuRen College and celebrate the second anniversary of the ShuRen College’s foundation.
At the start of the activity, the “fresh meat” and counselors sang some warm songs, which made the atmosphere pleasant. At 7:40 am, on the recommendation of the host- Wu Guanlong, Professor Wu Chuanyue, the current vice president of the SUSTC and former dean of the ShuRen College, Professor Huang Limin, the current dean of of the ShuRen College, Xiao Guozhi, a professor the Biology Department, Professor Hou Chunhui, the vice dean of the ShuRen College, Teacher Lu Qi, the vice administrative dean, Counselor Yang Sheng, Counselor Lv Yao and Counselor Yu Lu came to say hello to the students.
Teacher Lu Qi, affectionately said, ” Before the 2015 freshmen come to SUSTC, your parents must urge again and again that you should take good care of yourself out of home, but I want to say that To go to ShuRen College of SUSTC is exactly as to go home, welcome to go home!” Indeed, we who study outside alone have the warm embrace of family with the company of the college.
After that, the wonderful performances pushed the party to a climax. Luo Kai and Luo Xia from the Hip-Hop Society performed the hottest Poppin at the music of “creep up on you in”. Senior Wei Tianzi sang “Have a person to once tell you” and played the guitar, which let the students immersed in his voice. Then, Lin Shifan, a 2014 student performed a dance of “Senbonzakura”, which caused a sensation in the evening party.
In a free RemoteMusic link, teachers and classmates presented their favorite songs one by one, no matter classic old songs in last century, now popular songs or is English songs, all made students drunk. Everyone tapped along the songs with abandon, and the songs blended into the wonderful night.
The last program was the exciting birthday celebration link by cutting the cake. The students surrounded a six-layer big cake and sang the song of Happy Birthday, which pushed this party tonight to a grand climax. The students shared the cake and tasted the delicious cake, just as a family enjoyed the happy moment.
Finally, the college celebration activity came to a close in the guitars. Students and teachers posed together and smiled for a group photo.
