Director Nie Xinping of the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission led a delegation to Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) for investigation. University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong and University President Chen Shiyi accompanied the research group.

Nie Xinping and his entourage first visited the campus construction planning sand table, listened to the overall development plans for the school, before traveling to the Cryo-Electron Microscopy laboratory.

At the subsequent symposium, the two sides had in-depth discussions about future project plans and the feasibility of the future infrastructure plans for SUSTech. SUSTech Chief Fiancial Officer Ye Qin, Secretary-General Chen Siqi and relevant department heads attended the discussion.

Guo Yurong introduced recent developments at SUSTech, focusing on several projects that are being initiated, including the construction of cutting-edge research institutes. Chen Shiyi introduced SUSTech’s achievements in recent years in terms of enrollment and scientific research achievements. President Chen said that under the strong support of Shenzhen City, SUSTech would further improve talent placement and campus construction work in order to attract more high-level talents.

Director Nie Xinping fully affirmed the achievements of SUSTech and the campus construction. He said that the construction of the SUSTech campus has been very rapid. He also said, “I hope that SUSTech would use their vision of development to do an excellent job of the basic design and planning of campus construction. As a result, they would strive to make SUSTech more beautiful and better.”
