On October 8,2015, invited by Professor Zheng Chunmiao, the Dean of School of Environment Science and Engineering of SUSTC, the Deputy Dean of College of Engineering and the Lifelong Lecture Professor Chen Feng paid a visit to Nanshan Distinguished Lecture on the Environment and gave a report titled “Microalgae, Environmentand Life Sentiment” at the report hall 110 of library. This is the first lecture of “Nanshan Distinguished Lecture on the Environment” opened by theSchool of Environment Science and Engineering.

Professor Chen Feng

At the report,Professor Chen Feng started the report from ubiquitous microalgae, revealedwhat is microalgae, the use of microalgae, relations between microalgae andenvironment, introduced chlorella, spirulina and other microalgae of variousshapes with vivid and visual pictures, and described key applications ofmicroalgae in health care foods, soil recovery, sewage treatment, agriculturalcultivation, and biofuel etc. and interaction with the environment. Thestudents regarded the microalgae with special respects, and received newknowledge and acknowledgment for relations between microalgae and theenvironment.
