In the afternoon of June 9, 2015, the inauguration ceremony for the Center for Teaching and Learning Enhancement of the University was successfully held at the report hall of No. 1 Scientific Research Building. The Secretary of Party Committee of the University Ming Li, the former secretary of Party Committee of Sun Yat-Sen University Yanbao Li, the Vice President Tao Tang of the University, the Secretary-General Chaojun Dong, the Vice Director of Preparation Office of the University Qin Ye and related department directors attended the inauguration ceremony. The Deputy Director of the Preparation Office of the University Wei Han hosted the inauguration ceremony.

The Secretary Ming Li and the Secretary Yanbao Li Inaugurated the Education and Teaching Development Center.

 

The Secretary Ming Li Delivered A Speech. 

The Secretary Ming Li delivered a speech at the conference. He said that, the Education and Teaching Development Center was a fundamental work at the early stage of the construction of the University. Foundation of the Center was significant and valuable for reinforcing acknowledgment on teaching profession, improving teaching morality, cultivating education culture, promoting college operation and improving talent quality. The Secretary Ming Li proposed the hope and requirements for doing the work of the center. 

The Secretary of the Party Committee of the University Ming Li and the former Secretary of Party Committee of Sun Yat-Sen University Yanbao Li officially inaugurated for the Center.

 

The Secretary Yanbao Li Delivered A Speech.

The Deputy Director Wei Han Hosted the Inauguration Ceremony. 

After the inauguration ceremony, the Secretary Yanbao Li delivered a report on “several issues and reflections on modern university and college system building in China”. The Secretary Yanbao Li discussed “the president responsibility system under the leadership of Party Committee”, “Implementation rule of academic committee” and “professors’ academic management and de-administration” and other core issues in terms of “how to acknowledge our university”, “historical mission and responsibility of universities in China” and “building of university culture and improving university governance” with a quick look of history across domestic and overseas areas, and abundant and vivid cases. Teachers who listened to the report praised that, the report delivered by the Secretary Yanbao Li was “accurate, in-place and authoritative”. 

The wonderful report delivered by the Secretary Yanbao Li started the work of the Education and Teaching Development Center.
