SUSTech Sophomores Win at First COMAC 3D Printing Competition

The 1st China Commercial Aircraft 3D Printing Optimal Structural Design Competition had its award ceremony on 7th November. The winners were announced at the 2nd International Forum on Future Commercial Aviation Development.

The Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) undergraduate student team of Liu Yazhuo, Qi Hao, Lu Qingshuang and Huang Chengcheng competed with other universities, institutions, enterprises, and research institutes at home and abroad. The sophomore students stood out with their topological optimization design plan to win third prize.

Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering Professor Hong Wei and Assistant Professor Wang Hao were the instructors of the team. The team also received guidance and support from Head of Department Professor Shan Xiaowen.
