Sunday, December 16^th saw the closing ceremony for the 13^th Shenzhen University Town Sports Tournament at University Town Stadium. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) was successful at defending its title again, with SUSTech Secretary-General Chen Siqi attending the closing ceremony.

SUSTech students won the basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tennis and swimming championships, while the SUSTech faculty team won the volleyball and badminton championships. The mixed team of faculty members and students won the tennis championship. SUSTech students also won the 800m and 1500m in track and field, where they were joined by the faculty members winning the 100m, 800m and 1500m. The mixed team won the 4 x 100m relays. Ultimately, SUSTech won the championship with 293 points.

At the closing ceremony, Chen Siqi took over the flag on behalf of SUSTech. SUSTech will be the proud hosts of the 14^th University Town Sports Tournament in 2019.

The 13^th University Town Sports Tournament is organized by the Shenzhen University Town Management Office and was hosted by Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) this year. It is a division of ten universities from universities and colleges in University Town. Students participated in the competition. The University Town Sports Tournament lasted more than a month, and included sports like basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, swimming, and track and field.
