Yesterday, Minister Zheng Ke of the Organization Department came Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) to understand how SUSTech puts together its faculty and brings talent to its campus. SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, President Chen Shiyi, and Vice President Tang Tao accompanied the investigation.
Zheng Ke first congratulated Tang Tao on his elevation to the position of Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His delegation was led to the 3D campus construction planning sand table where they were briefed about the development plans for SUSTech. They asked many questions about the school’s talent training system and the introduction of academicians.
Zheng Ke went to the Basic and Applied Research Center and the Key Laboratory of Thermoelectric Materials on the Pimi scale. The laboratory staff explained the progress made in scientific research with the equipment. He anticipated that SUSTech would continue to play an essential role as a talent pipeline and contribute to the development of service-driven innovation.
