On January 21, 2015, Jiao Jianli, the Assistant Dean of School of Information Technology in Education of South China Normal University and Fan Yibo, a member of Jiao’s team had a 3-hour seminar on issues related to MOOC with Preparation Office of UNESCO Type II Education Agency, including the current research status, hot issues, platform and form of innovative international seminars. Professor Qiang Haiyan, the academic director of the Preparation Office hosted this seminar.

We introduced the arrangement for MOOC research and communicated on the entry point of MOOC design from the perspective of open learning resources and higher education innovation by focusing on declaration. Besides, Professor Jiao Jianli shared route charts and course of direction to promote MOOC based on the actual problems proposed by all universities and researches.

A brainstorming design was also conducted for the international seminar to be held in the beginning of 2016 in the seminar where the ways to promote in-depth discussions through meeting factors such as meeting theme and participants, innovation on meeting form and how to provide a better communication and cooperation platform for participants were also discussed. Besides, Professor Jiao demonstrated and shared the successful experience and innovation methods of many international seminars, all of which are useful references for the international meeting to be held.
