SUSTC Faculty & Student Gala, sponsored by the university was held on the Campus in the evening of Dec 31, 2015. Dr. Li Ming, Council Chairman of SUSTC, Prof. Chen Shiyi,  President of SUSTC, Prof. Qin Zheng, Prof. Wu Chuanyue,Vice President, Mr. Ye Qin, Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Han Wei, Vice Director of Prepartory Office, Prof. Lu Chun, Chief Operating Officer together with leaders, guests, faculty members and students attended the event.

The New Year’s Gala is the biggest annual event for the students community on campus, drawing the SUSTC community closer together. It was truly a night for many to remember, and celebrate the many friendships that were forged at SUSTC.

Before the gala, participants observed a minute of silence for the victims in a recent accident happened in Shenzhen.

The evening started with an opening remark delivered by Council Chairman Li Ming. He wished that all the students can make greater progress in the coming new year, and President Chen Shiyi wished that the university could scale new height in various aspects and make greater success. 

The New Year’s Gala had students from different residential colleges that demonstrated spectacular talents for the students and faculty who attended.
