Associate Professor Liang Yongye Listed in “Most Cited Chemical Engineering Researchers”

Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, in cooperation with Elsevier, recently released the list of “Most Cited Chemical Engineering Researchers”. Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering Liang Yongye was among the 32 Chinese researchers in the list.

The quantity of most cited researchers is an indicator of the global influence a college or university has in corresponding disciplines. Out of the listed 300 researchers from over 200 colleges and research institutes in Chemical Engineering, 32 were from China, among which 23 came from 16 colleges and universities and 9 from Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among the 16 colleges and universities, Zhejiang University had 4 most listed researchers. Besides, Wuhan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Normal University, and Tsinghua University had 2 respectively while SUSTech, Beijing University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Suzhou University, Fuzhou University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology,  Beijing Forestry University, Wuhan University of Technology, Tianjin University, and East China University of Science and Technology  had 1 respectively.

Associate Professor Liang Yongye obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate in Stanford University, USA. In 2012, Associate Professor Liang Yongye joined SUSTech and was elected in the eighth Recruitment Program of Global Experts (Young Scholar Program), Organization Department of the CCCPC. At the end of 2011,  ScienceWatch reviewed the most popular researches in 2011 and issued the list of the  “Hottest Research of 2011” according to the annual citations of papers. Meanwhile, the website released the list of “Scientist With Multiple Hot Papers” by recording the highest numbers of hot papers. With 10 papers included in the “Hottest Research of 2011”, Associate Professor Liang Yongye ranked 10th in the “Scientists With Multiple Hot Papers”, topping among Chinese researchers.
