On November 12, 2016, Southern University of Science and Technology joined the Shenzhen Art & Design Alliance (SADA) as a key member. Li Fengliang, Vice-Chairperson of University SUSTech, attended the SADA 2016 Q3 Chairman Office Meeting at Shenzhen Window of the World, witnessing the opening of the first store for “Shenzhen Gifts”, a key project of SADA in 2016. Ren Kelei, Chairman of SADA and Member of the First Council of SUSTech, presented certificates to SUSTech and other new vice-chairman members.

SUSTech accepted the invitation for the purpose of introducing the high-end humanities and arts resources of the design capital-Shenzhen to SUSTech, to further enhance its humanities and arts atmosphere, and build a platform for the deep integration of the school with the society, thus advancing the integrated development of cultural creativity and design services with related disciplines and industries, and enhancing its soft cultural strength.
