SUSTech Achieved Remarkable Results in the 18th CHTF

The 18th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), the leading technology event of China, kicked off on November 16 at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, ushering over 3,000 overseas and domestic exhibitors and recording a historic high on the number of overseas groups and newly launched products. To highlight the second participation, SUSTech presented 35 scientific achievements developed by professors and students.

SUSTech took the 8A01 booth shaped in a boat and colored with “green, blue and white”, representing the beautiful environment, ambitious innovation attitude and high level in scientific research and talent development of SUSTech, and earning high attention from the participants.


Excellent design and contents

In order to better illustrate the teaching and scientific power and development plans, SUSTech applies high-standard design and multi-level contents under unique styles like LED and posters. Upon a vivid demonstration of the mission, features, facilities, talent development, specialties, international cooperation and school image, specially the scientific achievements and progress, SUSTech is getting more familiar to high-tech enterprises and educators.

Various achievements

Thanks to the active preparation and cooperation of all the departments, participants were closer to the scientific research power of SUSTech. Many peers had interactions with our teachers and students at the booth, which arouse their interest in cooperation with SUSTech in scientific research, education and production.

Outstanding makers

At CHTF, SUSTech also exhibited four projects made by “Makers Workshop”, of which Lu Rui (sophomore) displayed Mini3D Printer featuring small volume and low cost, which is suitable for students and can satisfy some simple 3D printing works.

Li Cheng (senior) designed a firing chariot in first person view for RoboMasters Competition is capable of moving in all directions with a two-axis cradle head.

Hu Yushen (junior) exhibited a Touch Alarm-Clock featuring different wake-up types. Users can be waken up effectively and silently via mechanic clap in gradual increment of frequency and power, without any influence to anyone else around. It is vary practicable for the students who live with others and always stay up late.

Huang Wankuan (freshman) demonstrated a smart clock composed of eight IV11 fluorescent tubes, of which the bases are equipped with colored beads, adding more vividness and fascination to the clock. All the works shown by the students fully represented SUSTech’s success in the development of students’ innovation abilities driven by researches, and indicated the vigor, interest and passions of students in SUSTech.

Meanwhile, students’ participation in CHTF also reflects the potentials, dreams and spirits of SUSTech in the scientific innovation.
