In the recent creation and selection of “University Youth League Branches” in 2016, the Youth League General Branch of Zhicheng College, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) was honored as “Dynamic University Youth League Branch”. Shenzhen has only two university Youth League branches selected. The CYL Central Committee organized this event.

To implement the spirit of the Reform Plan of the CYL Central Committee and thoroughly implement the “Dynamism Improvement” Project of University Grass-roots Youth League Branches, the School Department of the CYL Central Committee organized the creation and selection of “Dynamic University Youth League Branches” in the autumn semester of 2016. This event targeted various student Youth League branches, such as classes, associations, events, laboratories and dormitories. Through university creation and provincial selection, a total of 1,168 Youth League branches across the country were shortlisted for national selection. After procedures such as qualification examination, online voting and review, the Youth League General Branch of Zhicheng College stood out through intense competition.

Established in September 2015, the Youth League General Branch of Zhicheng College is committed to promoting the growth and development of young college students, organizing innovation and entrepreneurship events, cultivating the awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship, carrying forward volunteer spirit, and developing and improving ability and quality. With the concept and goal of serving youth growth, it has established the publicity department, the young volunteers association, the organization department, the social practice department and other departments according to objectives, carried out project-based professional branded campaigns such as “Zhicheng Youth Technology Tour”, and established project-based charity organizations such as “SUSTech Emergency Rescue Team” and “Shenzhen Spring Environmental Protection Volunteer Association”.

In the past year, under the leadership of the SUSTech Youth League Committee, the Youth League General Branch of Zhicheng College aimed to improve the overall quality of students and promote the all-round development of students, and make remarkable achievements in student education and management.
