On May 11, Vice Director of Central Committee Xinjiang Work Coordination Small Group and former Vice Minister of Education Lu Xin paid a visit to SUSTech, and was accompanied by SUSTech President Chen Shiyi and Vice President Lu Chun.

Lu Xin’s campus tour included the residential colleges, Lynn Library,and the 3D campus construction model. During her visit, President Chen talked about SUSTech’s education of talents, academic progress, scientific research, international exchange, along with the relationships with, and services to, local communities and industries.

Lu Xin highly praised SUSTech rapid development: “As an important reform field of China’s higher education, SUSTech has managed to assemble a group of world-class faculty and established a premium academic platform for education development. I hope SUSTech can further its reform and achieve its goals of a “Double First-Class” research university.”
