The 4^th Annual Returnees China Dream Festival took place at the People’s Daily in Beijing. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) President Chen Shiyi was invited to give a keynote speech.

The event was co-sponsored by the People’s Forum Magazine of the People’s Daily and the Ministry of Cultural Exchange of the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese. It was organized by the People’s Daily and the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese.

The 40^th anniversary of China’s opening up will better guide the vast number of overseas students to be unified in their patriotism and play a more significant role in rejuvenating China. The “Returnees China Dream Festival” is an important annual event of the People’s Forum Magazine, which has been held three times.

In the speech, Chen Shiyi talked about the personification of significant achievements in the 40 years of reform and opening up. He believes that the more important contribution of Shenzhen’s reform and opening up over the past 40 years is the creation of the country’s source innovation and core technology. Shenzhen’s innovation model includes first-class scientific and technological innovations, first-class institutional innovations with Chinese characteristics, and a number of world-class companies like ZTE, and DJI, all rising in Shenzhen.
