Last week, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) was honored to be shortlisted for two different categories at the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2019. SUSTech will find out the results of the THE Awards Asia 2019 at the THE Asia Universities Summit at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) later this year.

Known as the “Oscars of higher education,” the THE Awards have been held in the UK for 14 years, and this will be the debut year for the THE Awards Asia, as it is the first time the THE Awards are taking their spectacular celebration outside of the UK. Nearly 80 universities from 21 countries and regions took part in these inaugural awards, nominating for 5 categories that covered a range of university activities.

SUSTech has been shortlisted for International Strategy of the Year, and Leadership and Management Team of the Year. These awards reflect the development of SUSTech’s global vision, and the hard work of its senior leadership and management team.
