On November 28, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang congratulated the many members of the Class of 2023 who won scholarships as outstanding freshmen.
Teaching Affairs Director Huang Kefu announced the winners and 100 students were on hand to receive their awards. 776 freshmen won outstanding freshmen scholarships, split across seven different categories.
University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang encouraged the scholarship recipients to adapt to university life by finding their own multi-dimensional path. They should all find additional aspects to their lives outside of their time in the classroom and laboratory to enrich their lives. He reminded the students to take part in social endeavors and care about others to enhance their understanding of their role in civil society.
