From December 21 to January 5, Green Pine Capital Partners Stadium at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has featured a festival of football, as the 2nd “New Year Cup” took place.
Five teams took part in this edition of the “New Year Cup,” with ten matches being played across sixteen days. The SUSTech staff team were the ultimate victors with 10 points (3 wins and a draw), ahead of the SUSTech Hospital team and the SUSTech Clinical Teaching Hospital (CAMS Surgery Hospital – Shenzhen) team. The 2nd Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech (Shenzhen 3rd People’s Hospital) claimed the Sportsmanship Award, while the 1st Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech (Shenzhen People’s Hospital) won the Fair Play Award.
All five teams competed fairly, ensuring high-quality competition on the pitch. The “New Year Cup” builds friendships and connections between SUSTech and the hospitals, and all sides committed to returning for next year’s season.
