The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has had three subjects selected for national first-class development.
These majors are applied mathematics (Department of Mathematics), opto-electronic information science and engineering (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), and physics (Department of Physics).
SUSTech will seize this opportunity to build a national and provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction point. It will continue to enhance the development of its undergraduate major in line with professional and industry requirements. SUSTech is firmly committed to the development of its talent pipelines and will persist in its innovative practices in undergraduate education.
The launch of the Ministry of Education development plan for first-class undergraduate disciplines marks the start of a three year project. It will promote the development of emerging engineering, new medicine, and new liberal arts across the country.
