Institute of Future Networks Technology hosts provincial Internet Development Strategy project launch

On January 13, the Institute of Future Networks Technology at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) was the organizer of the launch of the “Guangdong Industrial Internet Development Strategy” project. Institute of Future Networks Technology Dean Liu Yunjie and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) Academician Xie Bingyu attended the launch with experts and scholars from the field. The launch ceremony was chaired by the Institute of Future Networks Technology Vice Dean Wang Yi.

Institute of Future Networks Technology Dean Liu Yunjie introduced the Institute and the “Greater Bay Area Future Network Test and Application Environment Project.” He said that the Institute of Future Networks Technology had taken a lead role in launching the Guangdong Industrial Internet Development Strategy project by setting goals that are closely connected to those of the provincial government. It was also working on issues within the industrial supply chain and proposing practical solutions for the nation to promote nationwide research & analysis.

CAE Academician Xie Bingyu discussed the purpose and goals of the project. She hoped that the team behind the project would provide practical suggestions for the development of Guangdong and the Greater Bay Area while promoting the technological transformation of the region.

Institute of Future Networks Technology Vice Dean Wang Yi expanded on the preparations and current progress of the project. The meeting also saw discussions on a wide range of vital issues.
